Yeah, I know! I need to really update the blog more. 😒
Today I turned 23-years-old! It really feels like time is flying by, and I’ll be 30 before I know it. Looking back, I can still remember five years ago when I just turned 18-years-old. In those five years, I still have yet to be summoned for jury duty, and I know others who are younger than me that already have been summoned.
The celebrations started on Friday evening when my dad took me out to dinner Friday night with my grandmother, brother and sister-in-law. Fun fact: my sister-in-law and I share a birthday, only she’s a few years older than me. 😛
Then on Saturday, I decided to hang out with my best friend and a close friend of ours. We went to the mall for a few hours, all while I did some shopping for myself (yay coupons!) and also window-shopped as well. We had the party at Olive Garden, which is normally crowded on Saturdays. We got in at a good time as well, considering that there was a wait line out the door by the time we were leaving! Our server was amazing as well, and she recognized my best friend and I from dining there in the past. After the meal, we did some browsing around at Best Buy and Barnes & Noble.
Then we get to today, which is the actual day! I went to church this morning dressed up in a shirt and tie for the special occasion, and thankfully everyone knew haha. 😊 Later this evening, my dad and I will be headed out to eat for a nice meal, and who knows if I’ll get surprised or not!
I rate this weekend a perfect 10/10.
